The ACM and the conference have finalized a group hotel contract with the 5-star Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Philadelphia. The room rate is $169 per night for this top-notch historical hotel, located at the very center of the city with very close proximity to various attractions (the conference site, museums, the concert halls, theaters, restaurants, and shopping). Without the conference rate, this hotel is much more costly in March (run at almost double of the rate). You are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this and the block of rooms is very limited. The group hotel rate will likely be much less expensive than if you book by yourself for the same quality hotel. In the map below, the conference site is at (A) and the hotel is at (B).
As you see from the map, the subway stations (shown as M) are located right at the hotel and near the venue. A complete subway map is available (click the link to view). You can take the blue line from the City Hall (hotel) to the venue (5th street station). It is also a pleasant walk along Market Street or Chestnut Street.
How to Book: Go to http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties/Philadelphia/Default.htm and book with the group code ACMACMi. You can also call 1-800-241-3333 and reference Association for Computing Machinery- MIR Meeting for phone-in reservations.
